With our neighborhoods bordering the foothills, wildfire poses a serious risk to both our homes and our safety. The following resources are provided by Salt Lake City’s Wildland Resources team.
- Build a Kit and Make a Plan: If you live in a wildland area, it’s important to build an emergency kit and have a plan for yourself and your family in the event of an evacuation.
- Salt Lake City East Side Wildland Fire Evacuation Zones: Several wildland fire evacuation zones have been established for the east side of Salt Lake City. Residents in these areas may be asked to evacuate during a wildland fire. If you live or work in one of these areas, learn the name of your zone in case you’re asked to leave the vicinity.

- Learn about Firework Restrictions: Learn more about fireworks, sky lantern, and smoking restrictions across Salt Lake City to help reduce the risk of accidental fires.
